With Hanukkah less than 2 weeks away and Christmas 5 weeks away, consumers (like me) are trying to get the holiday shopping done or maybe started. I have found myself wondering...what are the hot toys this season?
Just from my few purchases online and browsing through the stores, My suggested hot item is the little Tykes camera (for boys and girls) - it is selling out online like hot potatoes. And a little advice...I bought mine on Amazon (free shipping at a cost of $39.00) compared to Little Tykes ($50.00 price with S&H and taxes)...shop around if you can.
What do you think is the "Hot" Toy for 2007?

Weekend Steals and Deals
It is WSD time...Not to be confused with Weapons of Shopping Destruction.
Since there is only 2 weeks until the official start of shopping for the holiday season, the shopping fairy is here to sprinkle some sneak peek savings your way...
Don't you just love the internet...what did we ever do without it? Instead of getting the black Friday ads in the newspaper on Thanksgiving day, you can now get them online - 2 weeks prior to Black Friday (BF day)!
Great for planning your shopping strategy. Hubby and I like to have a game plan to avoid the Shoppers-Syndrome, you know the "I-got-up-way-too-early-and-am-walking-like-a-drone-cause-I-haven't-had-any-coffee-yet." So whether it is Tar-jay or Macy's...you'll find the deals here and here!
Check back often, as they get new ads up each day...And Good Luck on BF day!
Have a great Weekend!

Weekend Steals and Deals
Surprise! I am posting Weekend Steals and Deals a day early due to catching up on my daughters 1st year scrapbook at a crop tomorrow...and yes, I am a lot behind. ;)
Because I am in "Scrapper" mode, I have been trying to figure out what to do with all of my daughter's art pieces...since she could be the next Van Gogh. So with much thought and a little internet search, I uncovered some neat ideas. A calendar would be a great edition to my kitchen or office and would even make a great gift for the grandmothers.
Or create your very own fairy tale book...with your child's name and all! And if that one is too girly, maybe this one would suite boys better.
And from scrapbooking to eating (2 of my favorite things), after I saw this on the goodyblog site, I had to share it with you...because well, I love baking and um cake. These are really cute popsicle cakes and I'd imagine that any toddler or little kid at heart, would love eating it too.
Per a request I have found a local "yard sale" for those who live near Linglestown, this weekend -- actually starting today -- is the Kids Market, loaded with nearly new clothes, toys and other baby stuff.
A thoughtful Friday note...
The funniest thing happened on the way to the toy store...Mattel apologized to China. I have to agree with the blogger at SNAFU-ed, what kind of marketing trick are they turning this time? Maybe tomorrow Mattel can apologize for the rising gas prices, global warming and the Iraq war?

Weekend Deals and Steals
Shopping is really fun but like most parents who are raising "million dollar children," I have to keep my spending to a minimum... ;)
But when I see great deals like these lunch bags by Lean Cuisine and at the same time supporting a great cause, the fight against Breast Cancer...who could resist? Plus on their website you will find a coupon for a Lean Cuisine meal...mmmm good. Thanks to my girlfriend for giving us the heads up on these super groovy lunch bags!
I am always looking for cool gift ideas for my 2 nieces, one year I bought them root beer scented t-shirts and this year I found these super fun DIY t-shirts. Now they can share their Artwork or ideas to the world. Rad!
Have a great weekend!

If you live near the Hershey area, Carter's is having a huge tent sale this weekend. They are also having 50-70 percent off until August 28th.
Babystyle has some good deals online, including $2.00 S & H on all costumes (for Halloween), can't believe it is that time of year already!
And the end of the year sale is happening at One Step Ahead and Leaps and Bounds.
Christmas is now only 3 months away
Or if you and your child want to make something even more personal, AC Moore is having a huge 50 percent off sale Saturday.
Ok, so do you feel lucky? Well do ya? Check out withcharacter and enter to win some really groovy prizes, the more entries they get the more they will give away...and don't forget to thank me if you win. ;)

I See Green
The internet is such a wonderful thing, for us shop-a-holics! Ok, so my rationale is...it is green...so that makes it ok, right? Seriously, I love these bags! They are stylish and...hmm...recyclable! These cute bags make great little lunch bags for our little girls, nieces, cousins, friends kids, next door neighbor kids and so on.
School is starting in less than a month! And hey, Christmas is less than 6 months away!
I personally own one of these bags made out of recycled rice and feed bags. Who says you need to carry a bulky diaper bag? This bag is perfect size to carry diapers, wipes and some of your tots crayons and coloring books. And you look cool carrying it...or so I like to think.
Kudos to these enviro-friendly bags!

Money Grows on Trees
Doesn't every parent wish? I just read an article that said, "By the time your toddler reaches the age of 2, you will have spent $10,000." $10,000! That is enough to buy a car! Used car, but hey a car! Where did that money go?
Hmmm, thinking back...trips to babies r us to buy a new binky and left with those 3 really adorable outfits, a new toy, some extra bibs and that really cute book...$50 easily spent! Ahhh remember those days. Impulse buys that I could totally rationalize, still do...My Jelly Bean deserves it!
But back into reality, money doesn't grow on trees, but you can still shop and save...a concept I love! I found a neat website and want to share, it is full of cost saving tips and tricks...so hey, check it out.

Snug as a bug in a rug!
Baby shopping...who can resist!? No, I am not pregnant, but I have friends who are and I am excited to dust off my credit cards and go shopping.
First my Rant: After my experience of blanket/swaddling disasters...ok, I took the class that showed you how to swaddle, but the blankets were too darn small! Nobody pointed out that you have to have a 40 x 40 size blanket to cover a 7 lb baby! Ok, maybe someone pointed out the bigger the blanket the better, still!
My shopping excitement! I found these really nice, soft and very large swaddle blankets about a year ago. They have really cool retro designs or simple solids. The price is reasonable, but shop around for the best deal. I swear, I will buy myself 2 next time -- one for baby and one in the wash. Plus they make great gifts for all your pregger friends! Happy Shopping!

Check this out!
I found this really neat site for little girl's hair clips. I don't know about you, but when I go to the store, I just can't find any cool clips, the best ones my daughter has were made by my friend fern. ;)
These actually are quite similar to the ones that fern made...anyways, if your not crafty like fern, you can find them here...
