Here comes Peter Cottontail…WSD

I can’t believe Easter is already here! I feel like I just put away all my Christmas stuff and have neglected to get any Easter decorations out. So this weekend we will be digging out the Easter baskets and coloring some eggs (our first year making this attempt). And of course, planning a simple Easter morning egg hunt either inside or outside (depending on Mother Nature) – this weekend couldn’t be any busier!

But how exciting this year is, Jelly sat on the Easter Bunny’s lap for the first time (but not long enough for a picture to document it!) Jelly however, does remember last years basket of goodies so she is really looking forward to this years!

So, for this weekends steals and deals we are exploring an Easter Basket full of ideas! For as long as I can remember my Easter basket was always full of candy and not to say the Easter Bunny shouldn’t have given my brother and I loads of sugar, but I just don’t want my daughter eating it, let alone me eating it! (too tempting). So, what do you buy a young baby or toddler for Easter?

Books! I love books not only are they educational but a great bonding time for you and your child. Barnes and Noble has a 40% off sale going on right now. That is huge!

Art Supplies! What kid doesn’t like to color? Crayola has something for every age. I personally think Tadoodles are the cutest for little hands.

And how can you make bath time more of a yippee than a nooooooo! What about crayola’s version of bath time fun! Just last week, Babies R Us had these buy 2 get one free, and as the cashier stated, “you’ll never get your kids out of the tub.” But just a note, when you do, it is recommended that you clean the tub immediately.

What about a DVD? Jelly loves to watch Mickey’s Clubhouse on weekend mornings, so we bought her Mickey’s Great Clubhouse Hunt. At the Disney store, the dvd is around $17.99. But if you spend $30 for an extra $5 you get a cute stuffed Thumper from the Bambi movie. In store only.

Happy Easter Weekend, I will be taking a holiday on Sunday and will be back early next week!
