The gap in netting is 5" and not 4" just enough for a toddler to get his head caught in and choked... oh wait that did happen and her son died while her she held his head and tried to pry it away from his neck. It was sold all summer and has been on the market for over 4 months and get this... no one checked to see if the regs were ok! Way to go Gob'ment! Way to check the imported toys for the same regs and US mad ones! I am sure the first thank you is from that mother!mbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01151644611113723861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7948658027149925978.post-7259044851277714022008-09-18T14:22:00.000-04:002008-09-18T14:22:00.000-04:00I heard that about the formula this morning. But it doesn't come as any huge surprise. It would be nice if people would try and find things out BEFORE they used them for food related materials but for some reason that's just too expensive/time consuming and we'd rather wait and find out the danger when we're dying of some disease or another. Ugh.

Here's another book I think you'd really like, although it might be outdated by now: Our Stolen Future by Colborn and a few others. Even though it might be outdated (I think some of the chemicals it talks about are not used in baby toys anymore for instance), the concepts of the book remain current - that we need to figure out what we're doing before we go ahead & feed stuff to our babies and ourselves. A really, really good/interesting read.Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439582294571462742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7948658027149925978.post-76653184465354096122008-09-18T10:10:00.000-04:002008-09-18T10:10:00.000-04:00Considering that I know someone who is in China at...Considering that I know someone who is in China at this very moment adopting a baby, I am hopeful that she brought all her own supplies and that the baby hasn't been affected by any of the bad products!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
